The last few days all I've been seeing is 1 or 2 male hummingbirds, and only a couple of times each day. They had been most active in late evening. It has been cool here the past several days, only getting in the upper 70's, low 80's during the day, so that means cooler temps at nights. I did not see any at all this evening. I wonder if it was too cool for them and do they prefer the hotter temps? Even if they are still nesting, wouldn't they still need their nectar for energy? I'm also wondering if maybe they've found another feeder nearby?? I have been feeding the hummers for quite a few years now, so they know I put out nectar for them.
