No Tail Hummer

Do hummingbirds molt at this time of year?! I just saw a hummer feeding at the butterfly bush outside my window..and all it's tail feathers were missing! Looks like a few new ones are starting to come in, but he was the funniest looking little guy - just a round blob with wings! I picked up my camera, but he saw me and moved on before I could snap a pic.
