I'm jealous! I used to live in the Twin Cities and it is my all time favorite place to be...even if you did shop & eat over in my state!

Hubby and I went to the cities this weekend. Hubby went to "Back to the Fifities" car show. My aunt lives in White Bear, she said she had a place she thought I might enjoy. It was Funky Gardens. It was love at first sight. I don't have places like this where I live. The hostas were beautiful. I was picking and grabbing.......then I had to narrow my selection down. I ended up with 6. It was hard. But, boy was I in heaven. They have a beautiful layout of gardens to stroll thourgh to get an idea of what the mature plant will look like. I will take pictures of what I bought.

if you are driving down the wisconsin side from funkie gardens, keep going and visit stockholm gardens in stockholm, right on the highway. between the two places, even just walking through the display gardens is worth the journey.

The variegated astrantia is undoubtedly Astrantia major ÂSunningdale VariegatedÂ. Looks very nice, especially in the Spring. Does turn more green as Summer progresses ...
