Hummingbird Garden

Now It's The Butterfly Bush

Even though most of my hummer plants are still blooming, my hummer is only visiting the butterfly bush. There were only occasional visits to this plant previously. I wonder if it is a different visitor? I did get a second visitor yesterday, but it was promptly run off. That makes me believe that my dominant female is still present.

My juvies have gone to every bloom in my yard since the dominant male left. Even things I know he's not gonna get much out of like my calendium thom whatchacallit thingy... their curiosity has just been such a delight the last couple of weeks!

This is a prolonged visit. It goes from one butterfly bush to the other, flying right by Black and Blue and Agastache without giving them a taste.

I wonder if the cooler weather improves the butterfly bush? Or maybe a new bird?
