Who Else Has Vertigro Stackers?

I'm curious how many people are using Vertigro Stackers and would like to see your setups please.
I just bought 14 stacks used from a farm in Lakeland that was going out of business, I found them on Craigslist and I've found others their if anyone want to build a Vertigro stacker system they are selling used for $20 per stack or less with all the poles and hardware included.
Here's a video of the Water Tower I built so I can use gravity flow to feed my system.

I use the hydro strackers and some plastic pots from another company. I use the vertigro nutrient.

    Great setup!
I'm going to be planting lots of different types of vegetables in mine. I can get strawberries from my local U-pick-it. I was surprised you were growing so many strawberries. Do you sell em? Got any pics of the results of those tomatoes you planted?

I took these pictures back in late may last year. I planted 4 hundred strawberry plants. 6 tomatoes plants and 18 winter squash in the ground pots. everything turned out very good. my setup for growing squash and tomatoes is very cheap. this year i'm going to try Brussel sprouts and cantaloupe in the ground pots too. my other stackers had hot peppers beans and lettuce. I see you have 5 gallon buckets in your photo. you could use those to plant vegetables too. I use one and half quarts of nutrients 3

Cool, thanks, I'll probably put Big Beef Tomatoes in the 5 gallon buckets.

    I use sweet 100s
    roma
    brandywine
    beefsteak
    better bush

    one tomato plant per bucket.

    Nice setup!

    Thanks for sharing.

Any issues with cooling of the nutrient solution?

I painted the barrel black to alleviate and possible algae issues and I plan to grow crops that grow over the barrel from the sides of the tower to help shade it. This is my first season with this setup so I'm in testing mode to see what works. If necessary I could box that water barrel in so as to not receive any direct sunlight at all I suppose.

I clean my barrels one a month with bleach. this helps control algae build up on the sides of water barrels.

Box it in with 1"-2" thick insulation will go a long way to keeping the temps down. It's almost like putting it in a cooler.

Ray4852, what % bleach solution are you using?

I use Clorox to clean the barrels. your going to get some minor algae build up on the sides if you don't keep them clean. What works best for me is to use rain water instead of well water. The rain water seem to hold up better in the barrels. its very easy to collect rain water from your gutters. I use 7 food grade barrels to collect water. one heavy thunderstorm will fill them all up.

Hi Ray- How do you like those vertigrow towers? How good are they for customization? I'm doing some research on vertical system, trying to figure out what sets all the different options apart. I just set up my system, which was made by Foody Garden Towers (haven't started growing with it yet...). I have a small backyard so I need to conserve space if I'm going to grow anything.

how far apart do you space them? Im picking up some today thank you
