Edgy Orbits is doing very well for me and very little die back in the last two hard years-seems very hardy anyone else experiencing this?

I don't know about Hearts per se (as I've not found one locally). But yes, I got an Orbits last year and it had almost no dieback - currently it's cranking out 30 buds on it's little thin stems in a tight, compact structure. To boot, it's growing two feet from a yew and an arborvitae! It may or may not be capable of blooming on new wood as well, as it looked like it was when I bought it. A great underrated (picotee!) lacecap for semi-small spaces. I'd highly recommend it.

mine is about 4x4 and has 75-100 buds and it is squashed between Twist and Shout and a sasauqanta camelia

sorry bad spelling!!!

Awesome bud production. But at 4x4 I would no longer call it small. You know, I saw both Edgys' advertised heights as 4' on PWs website. How long have you had this Orbits shrub? You think it will exceed PW's dimensions where you live?

I''ve had no macs hit 4x4 yet, at least not in part to old wood (we're only talking 6 years or less, the time I bought the house with no landscaping). ES & cousins plus Nikkos get there in a single season but freeze almost all the way down again. I've had to rearrange lots of hydrangeas to be in front of -30 hardy stuff because the rear of some beds were naked. If Orbits actually showed any sign of getting that big I'd definitely move it to a more "privileged" location.

My lady in red is 6x6 as it alone has had no winter kill ever!

it is 5 years old and very little winter kill

Orbits is 5 and a half feet tall and more buds than I can count!

It's a good plant! Blooms on new wood around here. Just sayin'...

It along with oldies like Boquet Rose and Presiosa all look good even Ayesha has buds

Well the cold zapped the buds of my Macs but edgy Orbits has new buds coming on the stems!
