I heartily second that recommendation! Not only does he know what he is talking about, but presents it in an easily understood, highly enjoyable form. We laughed and learned the whole evening. Thank you Dan and Cyndia for sharing, you are truly one of Iowa's treasures :)

I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend as it sounds like I missed a great seminar, and the opportunity to meet the people whose posts I enjoy reading.

Thanks for the kind words, ladies. My wife and I certainly enjoyed meeting all of the nice folks in the Oskaloosa area. It is always fun to finally be able to put a face with a name.

Of course, we always enjoy sharing our joy of gardening with others. We appreciate the hospitality so kindly extended by both our hosts and our audience.

I missed the lecture but uidigger told me it was great and she learned a lot. She shared the handouts with me - I hope you don't mind. I had to call and ask her if you'd taken pictures of my house. I've had a few errors in judgement, but I'm learning. I really appreciate your no-nonsense approach. I hope you'll be invited to present this lecture again soon so I can attend in person.

I remember taking my blunt end scissors out to "pick" a boquet for my grandma. Took me hours to gather about 6 wild roses - beautiful but the prickles!

We attended the apple tree grafting class in Osky last night...and they were still talking about how much Dan's lecture was enjoyed! Several have been busy removing stones and rocks.....too bad really, they would have made excellent "don't do this" photos for future talks ;)
