Brown sofa, dark wood floors... Rug?

What color rugs should I be looking for if I have a dark leather sofa, dark mahogany wood floors and light to medium gray/taupe walls? A light area rug look best?

I have a dark leather sofa, taupe walls and a chevron brown and off white area rug (brazilian cherry floors). I love this combo. It all blends together, and I added yellow, gray, orange and lime green pillows for pops of color.
