Food Grade DE for Lawn

Does anyone know the application rate for food grade DE for your lawn? ie: #'s per acre

Going to be a very bad year for ticks since most of the country did not get cold enough over the winter. Already found two ticks, one on myself and one on our dog in the last three days. I want to attack them before they attack us ;)
