Starring has always drawn my eye in Schreiner's catalog. It looks even better in your garden. Rita, can you post a close up of that purple one with the velvety falls to the right? I love those colors.

All of your irises are so big and ruffly. Great choices.
Renee

I picked large flowered ones as far as I could from the descriptions. And as I was shopping from pictures, I always choose ruffled ones. If they are not fuffled, I don't buy them.

I will take pictures again and post the purple one with the next batch.

Lovely, and that Magical Encounters really stands out!

I have Magical Encounter too, I love that one. Vigilante reminds me a bit of my Bold Encounter, it really makes a statement. I'm keen on Starring too, I really love the light/black combo. I have 3 or 4 iris that have very similar color combos, but they don't seem to like my garden as well for some reason. I didn't have a single one bloom this year. Your iris are doing great.

Last year when I started picking iris from Schreiners, I was very drawn to the contrasting two colored ones. So I should have lots more opening. They do look very dramatic.

I was out in the front yard puttering around this morning and two neighbors commented on the lovely iris. Especially STARRING. Both pointed at 'that one'. That one seems to be very popular.

Magical Encounter is gorgeous!!!

Here is a closeup of the purple one from the group shot up above.
