Doing Happy Hosta Dance!!!!

Wow am I thrilled and nobody except you hostaholics (and maybe my son) would get it, so here I am!!

When we made the big move in winter 2007 many of the plants didn't survive the move. I've been figuring out slowly who is here... And isn't. One of my missing babies was Krossa Regal. I remembered the story Scooty my Hosta friend and teacher told me about that plant so it was sentimental to me. That and I missed it's beautiful bloom scapes that would get taller than me!!

So you can imagine how excited I was when I walked up to the plant clearance in front of not-my-usual grocery store Tuesday and saw one lone Krossa Regal there... And for 99 cents!!!! My son actually told me to calm down. I did... Right after I also snagged two Sarah Bernhardt peonies, a pretty Gaura, and a couple other nice perennials!! Happiest $5.94 I spent in awhile!! Now I just have to decide where Mr. Krossa will live. Cool!!

My Krossa came beacuse a friend was moving...in January. So, she asked me to heel in a few plants for her...one of them being Krossa Regal.....and a tiny little piece stayed in the ground when I dug it up to give back! Can you imagine how that ever happened??? LOL!
Anyhow I have given away so much of that plant it would likely fill acres! Great hosta and a fast grower!

Lol, Regal Splendor was my first. There it was sitting in the clearance/distressed section of a big box store with a big orange X on the pot (still have the pot).

Three years later its a focal point in one of my beds. Kossa regal and regal splendor are my favorite.

Oh, we ARE happy for and with you! I, too, love 'Krossa Regal' and his sister, 'Regal Splendor'!
They truly make a fabulous hosta-statement in my garden!!!

I have a happy-hosta dance graphic, but-----I'm choosing not to post it here, (not to annoy some)
BUT it would be SO APPROPRIATE for you!!! lol

Janice, I'm sure just this once will be OK.
    I've always loved your graphics.
Plus, she really does deserve a happy-hosta dance.

Oh--me and my BIG MOUTH! As soon as I hit 'submit' I knew I AGAIN did a BAD THING!!

Okay--here's the deal with my 'happy dance' graphic--I removed it from my Photobucket, and any of the
graphics I did not create ENTIRELY so that I would no longer be tempted to post them. :o( I realized
it was 'all about me' and the fun 'I' was having in making them and posting them, and whereas so many of you
were kindly tolerant and indulged me, there are those who'd just as soon I keep this 'side' of the forum strictly
'business'! I don't blame them--this is what the forum is about--so we have a "CONVERSATION" side for anything
    beyond 'business'!

Sheila--you have a great idea! That way, I can make it optional for the general public to see or NOT!!

I have gone back and created another 'happy dance' so I'll post that one--however--my original one was
of this darling frog dancing and I loved it much better! :o)

Here is a link that might be useful: 'CELEBRATE'!!
