I have read the Incrediballs do NOT need to be stalked, but seems that these would need more shade.

You might want to check my thread-- people said anything that is a paniculata will be OK in the sun.

I'm in the Chicago area, one of my limelights are in full sun and is doing well 2 years later. They are panicle shaped but very showy. Maybe she could see one at a nursery? I wasn't sure about it when my landscaper said they start out with a greenish tint, I thought eww. But when I saw it, WOWSA. Also, some of the branches around the outer edge sometimes get weighed down w/ heavy blooms, so I cut one, here or there to bring into the house. That usually does the trick.

Thank you anele and vbnet. That is useful information. Strangely I have a couple of paniculatas that I consider lace caps. But she might be happy with the panicle shape. I hear great things about Limelights and it might look good near a house with green siding.

I have a Limelight and love it. Only sad thing is, it blooms sort of late . . .and our growing period is so short. Not sure if this matters, given what else she might grow!
