I just bought my first japanese iris--they probably won't grow, since they were boxed rhizomes from costco, plus the weather immediately took a turn for the worst and I couldn't get them in the ground. I'd appreciate any suggestions for growing--especially depth. I've seen everything from 2" to at the surface.
