When you say best, do you mean most ruffly, most flowers each season, longest lasting flowers, best growing plant in your climate, or just plain prettiest?

My favorite yellow is Total Recall because it reblooms so many times each year, but it's not the prettiest yellow. I like Maid of Orange because it is short and fits in the front of a bed of flowers. My favorite orange is Cajun Rhythm, since it is so pretty.

Dark Purple - 'Dusky Challenger' (haven't seen a black one to recommend)

Oranges vary - I would go to BlueJ Iris and look for one that has won an Award of Merit (AM) - link below

I am talking about the iris that is totality "orange" no other color, same with the Black and the Yellow......

Tried to go to "Superstition Iris Gardens" but it appears they are only on "facebook" and I don't do FB......

black does not exist in iris what r called black r deep purples blues some say deep reds as well but all red iris r brown tints not true red
