iris care

I have a grouping of lovely iris that came with our home. They grew enormous for 14 years due to conditions-- they were planted near a dryer vent that kept them warm and dry all winter. We have since moved the dryer and now the iris are too wet and shaded due to maturing trees in the yard. Should I move these iris' now or should I wait until after the blooming period? I do not see many buds yet, although it has been a very late spring. I am willing to miss a year of blooms to save the plants if necessary, but I don't want to stress them anymore than I have already by not moving them last fall. Finally, I noticed in some other similar postings that late planted iris sometimes bloom in the fall. Would that be a possibilty in this case should I decide to move them now? Thanks in advance for the help! Eve
