I had to do a double take on that one. Tetragonolobus purpureus is not a common vegetable but some vendors claim it can be eaten raw when very young.

Quite a few people grow them here but usually as abit of a novelty as they do not produce a heavy crop and are fiddly to pick. If you google cooking asparagus peas you will find some ideas. Stir frying and steaming seem the most common.

I think their window of opportunity for culinary use is brief. The pods grow fairly quickly and don't seem to hold their eating quality very long before getting tough, from the little experience I've had growing a handful of them a couple of times. They're not the easiest plant to germinate or grow.
