I'm trying to grow some unusual legumes, some of them native, some with edible roots or used as a tea. Dalea purpurum and candida are purple and white prairie clover, and have edible roots. They sprouted very well in only 4 days.

Sutherlandia is a legume from Africa, I got a couple of sprouts up from them in 9 days, and also one from the butterfly pea, of which the pea is not edible but the blue flower is used to color rice blue, and the leaves can be made into tea.

Psoralea esculenta, the Prairie turnip, is turning out quite hard to sprout, I hope I get at least a few.

Some other native legumes still in cold stratification are Amorpha canescens and nana, and Baptisia tinctoria and australis.

Has anyone tried any of these legumes?
