Is this an Iris?

I'm so sorry for my ignorance. I bought this at a local nursery and they didn't know what it was. The proprieter said she thought it was an iris. It was so pretty I bought it despite my hesitation with buying things from nurseries that don't know what they are selling -- ha, ha. Does anyone recognize this plant?

I can't wait to see what it is, it looks like an iris from the neck down and the buds look like those of a tiger or day lily. I'm a beginner with irises (and far from an expert with day lilies either) so I'm anxiously awaiting the answer!

(Some kind of japanese or spuria type???)

Yes, that's it! I googled some pictures and it's definitely a blackberry or leopard lily (belamcanda chinensis). Thanks a million.
