Bulb shooting before planting

I bought a bag of lily bulbs from homedepot a couple months ago and then totally forgot about it until I saw the bag in the garage yesterday. When i opened up the bag i found that half of the bulbs already have new shootings, some are already pretty long and are exposed above ground when i plant them. Should i just plant them like that? The shootings have light yellow color and look very delicate. Will they be ok above ground and eventually turn green? Thanks.
