Coronation Anthem is my best. It's a tetraploid, and very vigorous. Also reblooms for me. Makes big clumps fast.

I haven't grown them myself, but some of my favorites that I've seen in person are 'Swans In Flight', 'Over In Gloryland', 'Uncorked', 'Magnum Bordeaux', and 'Seneca Color Play'.

There are many other beautiful SIB's but those are some of the most memorable I saw during our regional garden tours.

I'll post photos of the ones I've listed in the gallery rather than load this post with images.

Could any one tell me the parentage of cascade buttercup, and ray's lines and holden's child

John,

You should start a new thread for this info.

Holdens Child is considered a hybrid of Holden Clough, other parentage undetermined.

I think Cascade Buttecup is a sino-sib, not a pseud.

Roy's Lines is a hybrid from Roy Davidson, with the pollen parent thought to be versicolor Between The Lines. Roy's Repeater is a sibling to Roy's Lines.

I'd have a hard time deciding on a "best" :-) All of mine produce profuse flowers on large clumps. 'Forrest McChord' probably has the longest bloom period for me, lasting about 6 weeks, but I also love 'Papillion', 'Aqua Whispers', 'Lavender Bounty' and 'Tropic Night'. And although the coloring is not very dramatic, 'Butter and Sugar' also blooms like a maniac! I have about 18 other cultivars, but these are real standouts.

Best : Blaumacher, Jewelled Crown, Mabel Coday,Prussian Blue, Berlin Ruffles, Illini Dame,Percheron, Viel Schnee,Big Blue.

Worst: Blue Reverie-makes giant clumps with no blooms, Golden Edge-blooms very seldom, Regency Buck-the only one ever that died here(I'm from Nothern Denmark)
