I'd wait another week or two to see if anything pops up. If you planted really deep they could be stalling, and the weird winter we had didnt help anything. Sounds like you prepared the soil well before planting. My mom has Asiatics up, which I dont have, but I have Orientals that I see no signs of. One is a mystery lily that is gorgeous and I dont want to lose it! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'd be afraid of splitting one of the bulbs. If you're extra careful go ahead, but I'd wait a little longer. This coming from someone who is NOT at all patient!! lol

I've been waiting for my Silk Roads, which I carefully separated and replanted last fall, to come up, and worrying that something had gone wrong with them, too, but today I saw the first, tiny sign that at least one of them is coming. Give it some more time.

Most of my lilies are up now, but One that I re-planted last fall just came through about two days ago and I have not yet seen any sign of my Regale Lily. Did you use a lot of peat moss in amending your soil and how deep did you plant them? Did you water thoroughly after planting? Too much peat moss can hold too much moisture and cause rot. If they were planted really deep, it may take them awhile to reach the surface. If they were not watered in after planting they may not have put roots down. Hope this answers some questions. If you don't see anything in a week, I would very carefully dig down a bit.

I would think that your asiatics would be up by now, orientals should be up soon. Be patient though, 1st year plants are sometimes later. A couple of my fall planted orientals only started coming up a couple of weeks ago & I'm much warmer than you. I'm rather disappointed with mine, they're much smaller than I expect.

Well, I dug all the way down (very carefully) and, to my dismay, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them had turned to mush. I mean, it seemed that they were totally non-existent. Just like my tulips-rotten. I had dug the area very deeply and amended and amended with topsoil and manure esp. All gone. I was SO bummed. Some areas of my backyard are much better suited to bulbs, and they do well. :0( Phyl

I'm so sorry, how very disappointing. Our late spring freeze here knocked back several of my new lilies. In fact, some seem to be dying back to the ground. They had a bit of green stem growth at the beginning. I'm just hoping it doesn't mean the bulb is dead too :(

I'm sorry to hear that Phyl. You should build a raised bed for the lilies with plenty of good drainage. I have heavy clay soil in my front yard, and it's dry shade, it's VERY difficult to plant anything here. I lost a few beloved plants over winter, but I'm moving on and replanting, hoping next year will be better.

I hope yours are ok, ngraham (is it Nancy?) I have LOTS of lilies coming up, but the ones I planted last fall are not. Even the ones I planted in one of the other raised beds seem to be non-existent. :0( Jen, the bed I was talking about in the last post WAS raised. Unfortunately, apparently not raised up enough or still too water-retentive. Believe it or not, the name of the town I live in is "Clay." It describes the soil to a T. Thanks guys, for trying to encourage me though. :0) Now I just want some decent spring/summer type weather! Phyl
