I saw those lights the local Lowes (but they had only the
display model with no price)...sure looked brighter than
the T12 fixture it was mounted next to.
54w bulbs would probably light but it'd be a waste as they'd
be only getting 28w

Personally i was thinking about picking up a couple of the
28w T5 bulbs and connecting them to a standard T8 ballast (i
have both the extra ballast and end-sockets)...I don't know
if that'd work or not. The here store only had 'cool white'
colored bulbs...
