Can you help me identify this lily? Pics included

A friend gave me some lily bulbs(?) that she dug up from her yard last year and they sat around neglected and forgotten (oops) for months. Then last month my hubby found them and planted them in a few places and they have taken off! There are no flowers yet. Can you identify if they are a type of lily by the leaves and bulb?

I do not know what it is but it isn't a true Lily that is for sure.

The common name on it might have lily in it but botanically it isn't a Lilium.

My guess is Peruvian Daffodil, sometimes called Spider Lily. Gorgeous plant. I grow them in huge pots and winter them over in the heated garage. They are usually white, but this year I found some in pale yellow (called Sulphur). Two and half to three feet tall is normal I believe, though mine grow closer to 4'.

Can't remember how to post pics here and am on my way out the door but if you search Peruvian Daffodil or Spider Lily, you'll get pics.

You were right, chocolatemoose! the flowers are blooming now and they are Peruvian Daffodils, or white spider lilies! Thanks so much for your help. They are gorgeous!!
