Hello,

I am very new to greenhouse idea and we are putting one in my basement. It is along the south wall and the basement door will be covered with a lien to glass door way around the opening of the basement.

I am not sure where to ask my questions so I am cross posting on both boards.

Hubby runs a salvage yard where I can get all the gutted washer and dryers I want.

When the dryer is gutted it is like a heavy aluminum shell that I thought would be great to make shelves in and put my growing lights in them.

Would this work, or would the lighting have a harsh affect maybe to high of a heat?? on the plants.

Or would I need to put some kind of aluminum foil on each end to illuminate the light??
