Yes, remove the pods .. in fact cut the spent flowers off as soon as you can after flowering. do not wait for seedpods to develop

I have Happy Returns also and I'm wondering if what I have been seeing are the pods you are referring to. I just bought mine this year (I've never had lilies before) so I'm still learning about them. What do these pods look like?

I have seen what I thought were flower buds on mine, but they never grow any bigger than the size of a grape. They've never opened, the few I've seen look like maybe they've been burnt by the sun or something- with some brown spots. The rest of the plant looks great.

Do the pods form from not removing the entire flower? Because I wait until the flower wilts enough that I can pinch it off- I don't cut mine.
