the best "literature" comes out of cannabis growing forums. Unfortunately Overgrow dot com went under when the owner took his money and ran before he could be thrown in jail, so you can now head over to rollitup dot org and go under indoor growing. the main useful thread on OUR (garden web forum) site is about how to overdrive a fluorescent t8 fixture, which you will find on scrolling down and looking for the one titled "best shoplight fixture" or something like that. Overdriving is a bit complex for potheads, but us cleared out people can figure it out, it's just bloody labor intensive. other than that, if you prefer to use HID lighting, then just buy yourself an HPS 400 watt conventional ballast, a nice lumen max reflector, and a CMH (phillips ceramic metal halide) HORIZONTAL lamp. or you can grow with a reflectorized HPS lamp (gavita type). you can buy ur supplies from businesslights dot com, plantlightinghydroponics dot com, HTG supply, but you'll need to search the internet for (if u decide to go that way) a lumenmax reflector, or a CMH lamp.
and that, is basically it. 3000-5000 lumens per square foor, or 30 - 40 watts per square foot, is what you need to budget for, and you'll be all set -- best of luck, and u can even email me if u like, but i don't check my mail very often!!!
