Beans, Peas & Legumes

bean seed saving ?

I grew heavyweight burpee bush beans,they grew really well and produced and produced and are still producing beans,very good production out of these.My ? is if I save seed will they come true or is this some hybrid plant.The seed packet said Ejote silvestre,HeavyweightII 100% certified organic..

I'm not aware of any true hybrid bean seed, sold by seed companies. It's almost certain that you can save seed and that it will come true to seed.

Ther are no Hybrid P. vulgaris. Also beans are not prolific cross pollinators. So saved seed should be fine. It may be patented (PVP) so you should check before you sell or trade seeds.
