light setup suggestions

Hi,

I'm bringing my outdoor setup inside and have some money to burn on a couple of lights. My area is 6'x4' and will be 1/2 tomatoes and 1/2 peppers, eggplant, and a few other fruit producing plants. I have myself convinced that 2 600 watt lights would be perfect, but there's a little voice in my head saying that this is way too much and i could get by with 2 400 watters. Another idea was to buy dimmable ballasts and run them at 400 for veg and 600 for flowering.

Any thoughts? Will the 2 600's just give me a higher electric bill with no other benefit or will the plants use all of the light i throw at them and thank me with fruit?

Does anyone else grow tomatoes using 600/400 watts? What area are you covering with your lights?

Are there any opinions on Galaxy vs Lumatek ballasts?

Any other suggestions appreciated. Thanks for you input.
