moving with irises

We are moving from upper New York state to the central western part of West Virginia. I have over 100 tall German bearded IRISES which we have too much money in to leave behind. The problem is that we are moving during late April to early May 2007. This is the worse time of year to try to move perrenials 800 miles but we must save them. How would this be done? All will be sprouting at that time. Also we have tea Roses, Lilies, tulips, coneflowers, hosta, dutch and siberian irises, shasta daisy, daylilies, red hot pokers, campanula, phlox. What's the best way?
