My home needs curb appeal!

I am thinking of painting the redish/orange brick and adding shutters. Part of the house is wood, then the dreaded ugly brick is the other half...the older part of the house. Yikes!
My flower beds are a hot mess....I have no idea what to do with them. I want some green year round. I'm in Ohio zone 5. I only had 3 pics to share. What would you do? Thanks....you're the best!

Our yard is full of the Stella d'oro's. Hubby went crazy with them!
