You might not be getting an answer because nobody on here happens to know about Gloriosa lilies. That's because they aren't actually lilies, of the genus Lilium. I think their real name is Gloriosa rothschildiana, I'm not sure, but I'm sure they aren't Lilium. They are just called lilies, erroneously, like a lot of other flowers that are called lilies but aren't. Sometimes a person can get lucky with a non-lily question if someone on this forum happens to be familiar with it, but it didn't happen this time.

I don't know much about them but would try storing the bulb in the pot in a dark place in a cool, unheated room or basement for the winter. The trick would be to make it think it's winter but without exposing it to actual freezing temps. HOWEVER, that's only a guess, I really don't know much about Gloriosa lilies.

I am growing some this year in a pot and will bring them in before a frost, and keep them in my cool bedroom (temps kept ~55° F - 65° F). These are subtropical vines that grow from rhizomes. Once the foliage has completely died back, I'll let them stay mostly dry in the container (but will probably give a little water once a month), afterwhich I'll water more frequently once it resprouts in spring. They are pretty!

hi, have grown them from seed but in Z5 they have to be dug and stored inside/In Z7 they should be ok to stay in ground thru winter .

I keep them very dry in compost in the spare bedroom. I repot in spring. They are quite late to start sprouting. Once they sprout they grow really fast. I grew them from seed about 6/7 years ago and they have steadily increased ever since. I always grow them in the greenhouse, but now I have enough stock to try outside as well. I think UK Mids is Zone 8.
