Question for master gardeners!

This may not be the appropriate place to post this...but I figure all you experts can help me! So I'll ask...I have rabbits......lots of rabbits.....domestic....and I have lots of rabbit droppings...lots of it.......can I spread the droppings around my flowers, vegetables, etc? That's it.....whew! Sorry if this isn't the kind of subject for this group...but I'm desperate and new expert advice. Thanks.

Yes! Rabbit droppings are excellent in the garden. It's better to pile them up and let them compost for awhile but rabbit manure is not as "hot" with nitrogen as lots of other animal manures and can be applied very lightly even when fresh so long as it doesn't touch the plant material. Take this question over to the Soil, Compost, and Mulch board and they will have lots of help for you. (We had rabbits for years and the little neighbor ladies just loved us! They came every spring for a few buckets of pellets.)

They also make a good basis for worm composting. Then spread worm gold everywhere.
