No experience growing them. You may need to prune any upright branches to help maintain a more cascading form.

Last year I went to the nursery to buy good-size fairytale bride hydrangeas as I thought they would look pretty cascading from large patio pots. I was underwhelmed as they did not look like the marketing photos. The flowers were small, less white and the form was less cascading.

Yes I agree, I assumed that I would get good results after the plants were established in the ground or in a container. Which is why I have patiently waited. But alas, not my experience. maybe someone else has had better results!

I immediately thought the same thing katob did. Your doesn't look anything like a hydrangea. And yes, some viburnums are....odiferous...

Well that would explain alot. I bought these two from Ace Hardware if I remember correctly. The pots were labeled with stickers and they had the elastic tags. Guess the breeder mixed them?

Thank you for everyones help. I put it into my camera app and it came up as Summer Snowflake. I dont know why I didn‘t think to do that to begin with. I guess since I bought it as a fairy trail bride hydrangea I just assumed thats what it was! oh geez, the site says these get huge, like 12’ tall. I guess I have some planning to do.

i dont think its summer snowflake either. SSF is a plicatum tomentosum with the distinctive horizonal branching and the flowers are bigger than those you can (barely) see on yours

just on principle id tell the the store or grower. you may get a refund or creditfor that bit of effort.

i just dont think mislabeling should go unreported.its such a disappointment after the investment of time and money
