Heucheras that I have planted in any location that gets much sun have burned and did not do well at all. They can tolerate some early morning or very late afternoon sun but mid-day sun is a killer. They don't like wet feet but don't like to be dry either. Plus, I don't often fertilize newly planted stuff except with a very dilute root stimulant. They are usually well fertilized at the nursery so really don't need it at first if your soil is decent.

My suggestion would be to replant them in pots with some nice soil that drains well but doesn't dry out quickly and put them in a very shady protected place till you can see if they will survive. They really don't look very good but I've seen some things that looked dead come back and do ok.

Well Sandy your are indeed a Master Gardner. I called Terra Nova today and in a nut shell, that is what they said to do as well. I had to dissect a couple for some reason, he told me why but I can't remember, and I did not record the conversation(wish I did), I was also told it would not hurt to soak them in hydrogen peroxide and then replant as you said.
