We could use some out here in Kansas. We have had the following in my town.

April:
.3 of an inch on the 23
.3 of an inch on the 25
1 inch on the 15
.25 of an inch on the 7th

March:
.25 on the 14th
.15 on the 7th.

February: We had some snow, but not sure on the precipitation conversion, wasn't much.

January: We had some snow, but not sure on the precipitation conversion.

We are pretty dry here, but we are use to it.

Rain?? What rain?

My guage showed almost 2.75" yesterday bringing the weekly total to almost 4.5" and about 9.5" for the month. And more called for today. Does anybody know anything about fish farming??

In Cincinnati, we need less than .3" to set the all-time record for any month; this is by far the wettest April ever.

we have had around 11 inches in the past 10 days and it is raining right now. Tomorrow I believe will be rain free, the first time in a while. perhaps in5 days with zero rain we will be dry enough to hoe and till. I doubt that the farmers that use big equipment (i.e tractors) will be able to get into the fields before Mid may and that is only if we get zero rain for the next 15 days or so.

its raining here now in Rhode Island and it has been on and off for the last week or so...dont realy know how much rain ? but i do know its been to much...

the precipitation conversion for snow is 10" of snow = 1 inch of rain?? at least thats what i been told...

the conversion from snow to rain, depends upon how wet the snow is. I've heard anywhere from 5" snow = 1" rain to 10" snow = 1" rain.

I don't know how much rain that we've had, too much. Not as much as southern IN. Nor have we had the weather that Arkansas has had either. Thank you Mother Nature.

Boulderbelt, our tractor is much smaller than some of the big boys. With zero rain, we should be able to run the tractor in less than a week, especially with all of the wind that we've been having. By then, it should be safe to plant almost anything.
