Crinum in DC area

I live 200 yards from the DC line and deer come nibbling in the summer.

1. Does anyone actually grow crinum around here?

2. If someone does grow it around here, do the deer munch on it, the way they do on say my daylilies?

I only grow crinums in containers but I wouldn't be surprised if the deer ate them if they were in the yard. They eat almost everything in my yard. I didn't realize that there were any crinum varieties that were cold hardy enough for this area.

Plant delight nurseries has crinums they advertise as good to zone 7.

I meant zone 6. Plus my yard is sheltered.

I have Crinum 'Ellen Bosanquet' from PD which is completely hardy in Baltimore County. I've had them through at least 6 winters and though I keep moving them about to give them more sun they refuse to give up on me. Very late to rise though, so mark where you plant them. The area I have them in is a fenced part of my yard so no deer.
