Your house looks like mine! For low-budget ideas, I would suggest building in shelves on either side of the fireplace, (you can find salvaged wood, or go to somewhere like Habitat for Humanity resale stores, or new lumber is not THAT expensive at one of the lumber yards. Then get some matching storage baskets or boxes, magazine holders to use on the shelves (and label them) to put away office supplies. You could also consolidate some of the machines on to the shelves, perhaps even putting doors or curtains on the lower shelves to hide them when not in use. Get ride of extra tables that you could replace with the shelves. Also, get rid of things that don't "go" in an office. Is that orange thing a drill press or a photo enlarger on the right side of the stairs? Put anything you don't use regularly in the office in another location, closet or garage, etc. Just a few suggestions, hope they are of help. Best of luck!

I'm wondering if your desks aren't too large for the space? If you can't replace them, perhaps rearranging them could help? I agree with shelving either side of the fireplace and perhaps on the wall to left of the photo? Do you have under desk cupboards? Looks as though a lot of the desktop stuff could be stashed out of sight when not in use.

Even if you can't do your whole office at one time, you can chip away at it if you divide it into manageable sections.
