Neither will harm your tulips because tulips are bulbs. I'll bet it looks pretty.

Here's the odd thing: I can't remember if it's moles or voles (field mice) that eats bulbs. One makes the tunnels, which I think are the moles, then the voles use the tunnels to get around. One is an herbivore, the other omnivore. Anyway, you're more likely to lose your lovely tulips to one of these pests than clover or violets.

If you mix in some daffodils into your tulips, you're less likely to lose them. Daffodil bulbs are nasty (I think poisonus) to them and deer.
