Cool! (I think.) Are these ornamental rice, or edible red rice? Never heard of anyone growing either.

It's used as an ornamental grass - burgandy and green - will produce seeds (rice),(non-edible I guess)that can be sown next year. An annual, though I may try to winter it inside. It can be grown in a pond or bog garden with an inch or 2 of water over it's pot, or just in constantly moist soil.
I found this one on-line, but their shipping is a bit steep. (And I'm trying to control my 'Add to Cart' reflex, lol!)

Annual, will not winter in any climate.
Unless you keep it from going to seed, you won't be able to overwinter it.

Personally, it might be more fun to grow edible rice. Do you have a big pond? I think wild rice you buy will sprout. (But it's a big plant.)
