At least 1 1/2 - 2 x your regular price. When I read the topic, I was thinking about scarred pumpkins, not in a good way. Pleasantly surprised. Really lovely.

I was surprised as well, thinking they were deformed. I would price them even higher than 2x. This is something not commonly seen (at least in my neck of the woods) and should bring a decent price. It probably took you a good amount of time to do that.

I've heard about doing this, basically just writing on the skin while the skin is still tender and letting the pumpkin continue to develop. I've just not seen it actually done.

I found this website which gave me the ideas of what to write and it was so fun I wrote on tons of them. I used an earth staple.

Probably too late to do that this year - how young do you have to catch them? I'd charge $5 more than the weight of the pumpkin alone (but we're in a more expensive area, only you know how that would fly in your market).

You start when the pumpkin is really young. Then hope that the pumpkin doesn't rot or go bad before it finally develops.

I only have nice handwriting when I really try. The one above that says Grandma's House was done right before the photo I believe. It was much easier to do than I thought. The shape of the pumpkin didn't interfere like I thought it would. I wrote on squash too; sometimes just the variety name. I grow some orange buttercup that people always think are pumpkins so I wrote butter cup on them.
