My friends been suggesting shade of white or match color of my ceiling. What do you think?

I like your use of black in the trim work, window screens, and lights. I'm thinking a midtone to deep color to add to the richness. Here is a gray with slate purple undertones. BM 2118-40 sea life.

i would've suggested white haha but you said "interesting color". After looking at your other two photos, i agree with Chroma, you should choose a color with cool undertones to offset the warm, marigold like color in the other space. But I do think you should use a lighter shade to balance with the dark furniture you have :)

Yah-I think that shade of gray would be nice. Do you suggest that in all the wall or just in the side where the window is? Would that work well in my dark brown furnitures?

ooohhhh, I like the gold tone idea........but step it up in a metallic!

I think sea life would go with the brown furniture. It's not too dark so you'll have contrast with the furniture and trim, but richness and depth of color. I would do most of the area, around the living space, entry, and down the hall around all 3 doors, up to but excluding the embossed white diamond wall.
Btw, smart of you to have the bench tucked away under the dining table. Great way to have extra seating on hand.

I'd keep the red on the bottom portion of the dining area. It works with sea life and distributes red found in your carpet to that side of the room. Yes, I'd like to see yellow gold toned down. A more mellow version of that is BM 2162-50 Arizona tan.
