Temporary Bulb Planting?

Hi all!

Due to our construction, I've had to move 2 raised beds. The dirt I'm moving into a large, safer raised bed and I'm replanting the bed's plants in this new bed, in pots so I can place them permenantly probably next year.

This is the deal.

The dirt is FULL of bulbs. If/when I find them as I transfer this gorgeous, lasagna-created dirt, I'm tossing them into a pot.

What shall I do with them? I know we usually plant them in fall, but right now they're just sitting in the yard.

Second, do you think, if I put them into a large pot and buried the pot in the new raised bed at an appropriate level, they'd be OK for the upcoming spring?

Should I do that now, or leave them out?

I don't know much about bulbs except the voles love them.

Thanks for your ideas!

Christine
