Where did all the rain go?

I have had to water the rain garden that I planted in the rain, because the rain wouldn't stop. Now that the rain has stopped the rain garden needs water.

The weeds seem to thrive while the plants wilt, my poor seedlings want to know what happened, they had such loving attention and now that they are out there in the big cruel world it is being extra cruel.

We here in MN undertand and appreciate irony-
After the heat on Thursday I have to water the pond!
I am glad a bit has returned and it is bringing cooler weather with it!

Did you get rain this weekend? We were on vacation last week (got home Saturday) and had 3/4" in the rain gauge (ok, on the yard and garden too :-) and had another inch and 2/10 last night so I'm in pretty good shape. My neighbor from across the street came over and watered the pots for me every couple of days while we were gone. I swear she must have put Miracle Grow on everything too! They do love this humidity (like today) even if I don't :-)
