It has been a simply awful year for cutworms around here. I have never had them...but this year they were plentiful and voracious. Right now, the cutworm season should be over....they should already have morphed to moths.

I put Sevin 5% dust on the soil around the plants they seemed to be destroying the fastest. I think this would have worked well but at the time we were having rain every day and it required re-application.

Also, can put collars around the plants. Milk cartons and toilet paper tubes work well.

Ok, maybe what I have are not cutworms. When I think on it, cutworm are usually grey with stripes. These are green and longer. The collars won't work, because they are already on the plants. You must not be to far from me, if you are having rain almost every day!
