I think there are a couple of usages out there but i believe a pod cast has a video or audio component. A blog might just be written words. The website: www.coldclimategardening.com has a list on their site. Do a search on the term podcasts and a discussion as well as a couple of lists pop up.

A podcast is a digital file which is essentially like a radio program -- except that instead of you having to be by a radio to listen to the show at its appointed time, you just download a digital file to your computer (or your iPod or whatever) for whenever you want to listen. You can even save them, if you want. There is software out there which can check your favorite sites and let you know there are new podcasts. Other sites to find podcasts include http://www.podcastalley.com and Web search engines like Google (search for the words podcast and gardening).

I am not familiar with any gardening-related podcasts. Frankly, I don't listen to many non-musical podcasts because I can read much faster than I can listen. It's easy to read a few lines of a paragraph or story, realize that one doesn't interest me, and skip to the next one; it's harder to skip to the next item in a podcast. But try it out yourself. It may be just the way to while away time on the treadmill or the commute to work!
