My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Martagon lily seed anyone?

Well, it is the first year I have let any of my lilies got to seed, and what a bounty!

I can't possible use it all, so it is only right that I give some away. As Lilium genus is generally not self fertile, and since all my seed are open pollinated, these are the options for seed:

Option #1: Lilium martargon 'Terrace City' crossed with any of:

Lilium martagon 'Claude Schride'

Lilium 'Super Tsing' (a L. martagon and L. tsingtauense hybrid)

Lilium tsingtauense

Option #2: Lilium 'Super Tsing' crosed with any of:

Lilium martagon 'Terrace City'

Lilium martagon 'Claude Schride'

Lilium tsingtauense

Now before you say yes, look at this that tells how to grow them. It's little more involved than your average seed. Note it will probably take five years to bloom.

    So now you all know why martagon lilies are so expensive.

    I don't mind giving guest passes to my photos, and you can keep the password for future looks. I just can't let it go completely public because I use the photobucket free option, and consequently my bandwidth is limitted. (Yeah, for some things, I'm just cheap.)

    I would love to try some of your Martagon lily seeds. If I may, I would also like to see your pics. After reading about how to grow Martagon's, I see patience will be needed, and I believe I have patience when it comes to growing plants. Patience for other things, that's another story!!

    Hi, Rick:

    I would like to give the Martagon lilies a try and would also like to see your photo album. I just planted 4 tree peonies and was told they won't flower until the 3rd year, and I planted a gingo this year, knowing this is a very slow growing tree that can out live me many times. Yeap, I am a patient person. :)

    Rick- I'd love to trade for either - and some of the beautiful variegated hops vine if you still have some. Please take a look at my list to see if there is anything that you are interested in, and I'll try to remember to email you with some other items I have that you might be interested in.

    Rick, I'd love to try growing either one of the seeds you have offered, if any are still available. I don't have any plants or seeds to trade, but would be willing to make a batch of your favorite cookie for you, just let me know what to bake! :-)
