Near Hutchinson, 34 degrees, stiff N.W. wind and we also had snow flurries this afternoon. About 7:00pm right now. Supposed to get down to 17 degrees tomorrow night. Guess I'm ready for it, more or less. Water lines are blown out, hoses drained and put away, fountain put away, heated bird bath set up, heated water dish for the dogs plugged in. So yes I guess I'm ready, just not looking forward to it. I know in a couple of months I'll think 17 degrees is down right balmy.

We had snow flurries this morning also. The weather is nippy and the wind is horrendous. It is supposed to get to 17F tonight.

I have Wed. Thur. and Friday off of work. I am really behind in my gardening and plan to cover my roses on my vacation. It looks like all three of those days are going to be fairly nice. Good, perhaps I can force myself to get some things done in my gardens instead of working on my greenhouse.

I looked up at the sky and sniffed the air. Felt the cold wind on my face. That is all I needed. Then two hours later the clouds took on that Minnesota grey color and fluffy texture and a few flakes fell. I stopped and realized, the winterizing isn't done, the car needs it too, the garden hose is full of water on the reel, the plastic and staplers are who knows where, and I am tired.

So, I went got home after work and went to bed.
