Do I prune a baby Hibiscus?

I have a Rose of Sharon, Blue Satin, that I planted last June. It's maybe 1 foot tall now. Being that it's still so small, do I prune it? Are there any good links on exactly how to do this as I'm not real sure what I'm doing-- especailly since it seems like there's not much to prune (there are only a few branches)...Thanks!

More foliage stimulates faster root establishment and finer rootage. Best to allow it to grow freely this year.

(I have 2 beautiful altheas/rose of sharons that never have been pruned:
the shape of the plant is naturally attractive.)

There is never a reason to prune a Rose of Sharon unless you want to change the size or shape. Except for a long neglected ( and I mean years and years!) pruning does not promote bloom.
