It is a groundcover that is very thick and can be invasive. No blooms and is dark attractive glossy leaves year round. It can be contained quite easily with a weedeater.

This plant is a great choice for planting under a tree or in some other shady spot where a ground cover is desired. Can also be used as a slope planting. I don't think that the tendency for it to become rampant is a severe in your climate as in the warmer areas.
