By the way, a Japanese Maple would be a lovely addition! Can you take a picture of your house straight-on so I can get an idea of where that utility pole actually is in your yard?

The siding of the house cannot be painted as it is an old siding. To change the whole siding would be too costly. Also the ramp will come off and we will just close it in to make a small balcony. Privacy is not an issue as window coverings will do the trick.Here is a picture of the utitly pole right in front. Thank you once again
